Document Control Software: Document Change Request
When you want to modify a document that already exists, initiate a document change request. The first step in making a change to a document is to collect all of the change request items that need to be evaluated for including in the next revision.
The DOC9000 program makes it easy for anyone in the organization to request a change item. When someone using a document notices something wrong or comes up with an idea to improve the document, they would launch the DOC9000 program and click on the Initiate Request for Document Change icon in the Navigator.
After selecting a document the Initiate a Request screen comes forward.
Add a new change item and fill out the nature of the change and the reason for the change in the supplied text boxes.
Next the e-mail preparation screen will come forward that will e-mail the change request to the document's author/owner with a cc: going to the Document Administrator.
