Quality Control Software: Inspections
QCS9000 distinguishes between incoming and in-process inspections for they address different defect causes. Defect material in incoming inspection traces back to the supplier of this material. Defect material of in-process inspections is caused by an internal process. This is displayed by the screens used for each inspection type. Next to this both inspections are formally the same.
Incoming Inspection
When creating an incoming inspection you will enter next to formal data details on the sampling plan and the result of the inspection. Where necessary you will create a Non-Conforming Material Request (NCMR).
- Product: Product name and Revision Number
- Inspection: Inspector and Inspection Date
- Lot: Lot Number and Total Size of Sample
- Sample: user defined Sample Plan and Size of Sample,
- Results of Inspection: amount of defect units, total amount of defects, number of rejected units
- Supplier/Customer: Supplier Reference to purchase order and Reference to Customer
- NCMR: Option to create a Non-Conforming Material Request
In-Process Inspection
Data of in-process inspections are entered the same way as in incoming inspections with the only exception that here you refer to the process and the machines used instead of the supplier.
