QEI Exec Project Management Software: Networks

 QEI Exec offers unparalleled ease of use in manipulating project networks (PERT charts), and has been designed from the start to handle datasets containing hundreds or thousands of tasks. The CAD functionality within the product allows you to split large datasets into manageable portions (say by work package) which can be viewed and edited individually. This maintains consistency of data whilst also providing simple navigation between sheets.

The diagram above shows a small piece of project logic on a network sheet in the standard example QEI Exec database. This illustrates some of the key features:
  • You can display any arbitrary selection of activities on a network sheet.
  • You can lay out the data by hand on the sheet, or let QEI Exec assist in producing a network automatically.
  • Logic can be added or edited graphically, and routed as desired by the user. QEI Exec provides tools for "tidying" manually entered logic.
  • The box style of each activity can be set individually; the data displayed for each activity can be customised for all activities on the sheet.
  • The sheet can be as large as required to hold the data, and the user can zoom in to any portion as required.
  • The sheet can be scaled for printing as a single sheet of paper, or broken up into multiple sheets where the paper handled by the output device is smaller than the sheet size.
  • Right-clicking on an activity which appears on several sheets in the database allows you to navigate quickly via the "Also appears on.." function.
