Case Study: London Underground Ltd

 London Underground Ltd is responsible for the smooth running of the world's largest subway system. Part of this task is ensuring that the rolling stock is maintained effectively, to minimise breakdowns and ensure passenger safety.
Following the award of a contract in 1995 PCF has supplied all 10 lines within the network with a QEI Exec based system designed to predict the impact of the current maintenance programme and allow what-if modelling of the consequences of change. It does this by interrogating the central maintenance control system and then using built-in rules to forecast ahead based on the current condition of the fleet.
